Our Jones Family has its roots in the North Riding of Yorkshire specifically the lead mining area of  Reeth, Marrick (including bthe hamlet of Hurst) and Grinton.

When I was researching the Jones Family Tree, I found that someone had published their Jones Family Trees on Ancestry. Some of them included our own family but some of the information appeared to be inaccurate.

I promised myself that I would go back and search for the source of the information.

I summarised some information held on Ancestry and Family Search and listed some of the Family Trees with some Conclusions:
