This may be a red herring but I stumbled across entries in 1946-1964 for:
Ernest T. Brett-Rutter & Pauline E. Brett-Rutter
73 Archel Road, Fulham W14 (Baron's Court)
The 1957 entry is for Ernest T. Brett-Rutter (J).
It is possible that there may be a link to the Brechts/Bretts:
Lucy Ann Brecht had a very unhappy marriage with George Henry Brecht, a violent criminal who emigrated to Australia where he was murdered.
She married for a second time:
Edward John Rutter (age 38)
married 3.6.1916 West Ham
Lucy Ann Brecht (age 35)
I have not established whether they had any children but I did find a marriage:
Ernest T.B. Rutter
m 1941 Fulham
Pauline M. Fern (born 22.7.1919 per 1939 Register when living at 46 Castelman, Barnes, Surrey)
I cannot imagine why the Rutters would want to have anything to do with the Brechts/Bretts, so I am not intending to take the matter any further.
