Silk Weavers named Collier

Appendix - James Vavasseur, Silk Manufacturer

In 2020, I stumbled across one Silk Manufacturer named Collier: Robert Collier, Silk Manufacturer circa 1860-1880, but have not been able to find out any more.

I thought that I would follow his partner, James Vavasseur, to try and find some information on Robert Collier, without success!

James was born 1823 and apprenticed to James Carter in September 1837:

Indenture

“This indenture witnesseth that James Vavasseur, son of James Vavasseur of No 9 Trump Street, King Street, Cheapside doth put himself apprentice to James Carter,
Citizen and Fishmonger of London by trade a Silk Manufacturer living at No 9 Trump Street aforesaid…….”
7 September 1837
Fishmonger Hall

He was admitted to the Freedom of the City on 14 February 1845.
