After a visit to the Hampshire Record Office in Winchester and a search of the Museum web-site of The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire, I have proved that Mary (Fawcett) Murray was the Victorian lady who kept the Calling Book, that my mother bought on Lymington Market many years ago now.I was subsequently contacted by a distant relative of Mary Fawcett. Wonderful!
