Question1. What good news stories would you like to share?

As before, please let me have your answers in the next 2 weeks, i.e. by 12 February and we will try for a Zoom Meeting shortly afterwards.

If you would prefer to give your answers over the phone, do let me know. If you want to wait until the Zoom Meeting that is fine too. I will publish answers as they come in so that you can see what other people are saying.

Answers

1. Programme of vaccinations. Should be proud of it.

2. It’s difficult to find a good news story at the moment, apart from the speed and efficiency of the vaccination process, thanks to the brilliant NHS. I had my first jab today.

3. Apart from Crystal Palace having back-to back wins!

Article in the Times Online 31 January: Number of peopl;e suffering from flu has plunged by 95% (levels not seen in more than 130 years)

Thought that measures taken to fight the coronavirus (lockdowns, social-distancing, mask-wearing, working from home, good hygiene practices), as well as a good take up of the flu vaccine, are likely to be the main reasons.

Also reduced international travel.

4. Only good news I heard on the radio was that, by the end of this month, it will stay light until 6 p.m.

So things are improving and it won't be long until Spring.
